About the Torres brand:
The Torres brand has a strong Catalan heritage and has been combining family tradition with innovation in the production of prestigious wines and brandies since 1870.
The brandy tradition is also linked to the historical legacy of the Catalan physician Arnau de Vilanova, who developed the first "Aqua Vitae," or wine distillate, in the 14th century. Brandy as we know it today began to develop later, thanks to Dutch merchants who distilled wine and transported it in oak barrels.
A key figure in the creation of Torres brandy was Juan Torres Casals, a representative of the second generation of the family, who in 1928 began producing aged brandy from the best white wines from the Penedès region near Barcelona.
From 1928 to the present day, Torres brandy has been building a name for itself around the world and regularly winning international awards.
