Bumbu The Original is the flagship product of the Bumbu brand and a true Caribbean legend. This exceptional rum is produced in Barbados, in the heart of the cradle of rum, and combines fine Barbadian distillate with carefully selected natural spices. Each sip reveals the rich heritage of the West Indies and the artistry of master distillers, passed down through generations.
Production and composition:
Bumbu The Original is produced in a historic distillery in Barbados, founded in 1893, which has been in continuous operation for more than 120 years. The rum is distilled using two traditional column stills, and the yeast used in fermentation dates back to 1840.
The base is sugar cane from the Caribbean and South America, complemented by uniquely pure Barbadian water that passes through natural limestone. This is what gives the rum its lightness and smoothness without losing its complexity.
Character and taste:
Bumbu The Original is a rum with natural flavors that reflect exotic spices, tropical tones, and the delicate sweetness of sugar cane. The result is a harmonious and balanced spirit that can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as the base for original cocktails.
Bottle design:
The Bumbu bottle is a work of art in itself. The heavy glass is decorated with a matte metal "X" on the front and a map of the Caribbean on the back. The overall impression is completed by a massive, old-fashioned cork that makes a characteristic festive pop when opened.
