Fleret Collection 1850 Plum spirit 5YO is a limited edition five-year-old plum spirit from the FLERET Collection 1850 range, which represents an exceptional combination of traditional plum distillate and barrel aging after red wine. The base is a carefully distilled plum spirit, which first matured in the cellar for four years and then rested for a fifth year in barrels that previously held Austrian Frankovka wine from the Burgenland wine region.

Tasting profile:

It is the red wine barrel that gives the distillate its delicate reddish color and expands its aromatic profile with notes of ripe blackberries and raspberries, a slight spiciness, and a hint of tobacco. The distillate is full-bodied, structured and long on the palate, with an elegant combination of plum fruitiness and oak influence.

Fleret Collection 1850 Plum spirit 5YO was produced in a limited quantity of only 900 bottles, which underlines its collectible character.

Its quality is also confirmed by a bronze medal from the World Spirits Competition in San Francisco (2016). A distinctive 50% spirit for connoisseurs looking for a slivovitz with depth, complexity, and an unusual barrel character.

About the Fleret distillery:

The roots of fruit distillate production in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm date back to 1850, when the Velkopalírna pravé slovácké slivovice a borovičky (Large Distillery of Genuine Slovácko Plum Brandy and Juniper Brandy) was established here. After nationalization in 1948, production was interrupted, but in 1993 it was resumed thanks to the knowledge of the last blender of the original distillery. Today, the FLERET distillery continues this tradition, combining historical recipes with modern technologies.

The basis of production is the selection of first-class fruit, crystal-clear Beskydy water, and rigorous control of every step of production. FLERET produces both traditional fruit distillates and spirits, as well as the premium Collection 1850 and BESKYD 1129 series. The brand's products regularly win awards at prestigious international competitions, for example in London, San Francisco, and Hong Kong.

Production takes place in a modern plant in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, which is continuously being expanded technologically. Nevertheless, the distillery maintains a personal approach to each bottle. FLERET thus represents a combination of more than 170 years of tradition, the regional identity of the Beskydy Mountains, and contemporary demands for quality and design.
