Product description

Beefeater London Dry is the epitome of traditional London dry gin and the most awarded gin in the world. It is produced right in the heart of London, where it is the only historic gin still made in its original distillery. Under the supervision of legendary master distiller Desmond Payne and according to James Burrough's 19th-century recipe, a gin with a perfectly clean and balanced character is born.

Characteristics:

Herbs and spices are macerated for 24 hours before distillation, ensuring their full release and complex flavor profile. The result is a gin with a distinctive juniper flavor, refreshing citrus notes, and a delicately spicy undertone.

Tasting profile:

Color: Clear and sparkling.

Aroma: Distinctive juniper with bright notes of lemon and orange peel, complemented by light floral and spicy nuances.

Taste: Dry, clean and harmonious – dominated by juniper, supported by the sharp freshness of lemon, the bitterness of Seville oranges and a subtle hint of almonds and herbs.

Botanicals:

Juniper, lemon peel, Seville orange peel, almonds, angelica root and seeds, coriander seeds, orris root, licorice root.

Serving suggestion:

Classically with a quality tonic and a slice of lemon, or as a base for iconic cocktails such as Gin & Tonic, Martini or Negroni.

About the Beefeater distillery:

Beefeater is one of the last true London gins still produced in the heart of the British capital. Under the supervision of experienced master distiller Desmond Payne, gin is produced at the Kennington distillery using a recipe that has remained virtually unchanged since the 19th century.

The brand name refers to the legendary guards of the Tower of London, known as the "Beefeaters." Their strong connection to the city's history is symbolized by the gin itself – traditional, British, and honest.

The Beefeater distillery is housed in an impressive Edwardian building with a 1950s extension and retains authentic features such as Victorian copper stills and a botanical room where the raw materials for production are stored. It is here that the famous 24-hour maceration of herbs takes place, giving the gin its complex and harmonious flavor.
