Ophyum 17Y Sistema Solera is an exclusive rum from the Dominican Republic, created by Cuban master distillers – "maestros roneros". This rum is the result of the meticulous work of the family-owned company Oliver & Oliver, known for its artisanal production of premium "grandes rones."
The rum is aged for up to 17 years using the Sistema Solera method in a combination of American and French oak barrels, which gives it extraordinary depth, elegance, and balance.
Tasting profile:
Color: Deep amber brown with hints of maple syrup.
Aroma: Rich and enticing – tropical flowers, dried apricot, oak tones, and buttery caramel create a complex yet harmonious aromatic profile.
Taste: Full-bodied, sweetly fruity and delicately spiced. It opens with notes of dried fruit, vanilla and oak, which transition into a smooth caramel finish with a light touch of spice.
Finish: Long, warm and velvety, with echoes of caramel and wood.
Serving:
Ophyum 17Y Sistema Solera is a modern rum with a classic soul, ideal for slow sipping neat or with a cube of ice. Presented in an elegant gift box, it is also an excellent choice for connoisseurs and lovers of refined rums.
About OLIVER & OLIVER:
OLIVER & OLIVER is a family-owned company with rich Cuban roots, now based in the heart of the Dominican Republic. The company is known for its passion for producing and marketing premium craft rums, with each brand, such as Opthimus, Quorhum, Cubaney, and others, unique in character, aroma, and taste.
OLIVER & OLIVER is distinguished by its innovative approach to rum aging, which is based on an adaptation of the traditional Spanish solera method. At least twice a year, they select and blend mother rums that form the basis for the next production cycle.
Most OLIVER & OLIVER rums are produced in limited and numbered editions, which gives each bottle exclusivity and increases its collector's value. This approach emphasizes the family heritage and artistry that goes into every stage of production.
