About the Dead Man's Fingers Brand:

The Dead Man's Fingers brand was born in the unique setting of the Rum and Crab Shack, a popular seafood restaurant in the town of St. Ives, Cornwall. This establishment became the birthplace of a spiced rum that defies conventional rum traditions. With courage and an innovative approach, the creators have crafted a rum that isn’t afraid to experiment with unusual flavors such as Cornish saffron cake, Pedro Ximénez ice cream, nutmeg, vanilla, and a hint of orange.

Interestingly, the name "Dead Man’s Fingers" comes from one of the most popular items on the Rum and Crab Shack menu—crab. The inner parts of the crab’s claws, known as “dead man’s fingers,” gave the rum its unusual name. According to folklore, this is a dangerous part of the crab, which lends the brand its rebellious character.

The Rum and Crab Shack remains the brand’s spiritual home, but its physical home is now located at the rum distillery in Bristol & Bath. This complex spans four floors and includes several bars and a rum school, where visitors can distill their own version of rum.
