SKUNK is a brand of Danish sustainably produced rum. Each batch differs due to the use of different types of fermentation and distillation methods. The goal is to create four batches with different flavor profiles in the first year.
Long-term fermentation, fermentation at high temperatures, bottling with high alcohol content. There are many methods by which different flavor profiles can be achieved. And it is with them that Bintu Singh wants to experiment with his new rum brand SKUNK. In addition to the current Batch 1, Batch 2 is also ready, which differs from the first batch in terms of the yeast used.
While the first batch had wine yeast added during fermentation, SKUNK Rum Batch 2 is fermented with wheat brewer's yeast.
The rum is made in Denmark from organic Paraguayan molasses (the same used to make Sincere gin). It is bottled in recycled glass with a strength of 69.3%. Both the batch and the bottle number are listed on the sustainable paper labels.
Like its predecessor, SKUNK Batch 2 is a strong rum with a distinct aroma. The aroma and taste are of wheat beer, which is the result of long fermentation using brewer's yeast.
You can enjoy the rum neat, or with a few drops of water to intensify its taste.
