Product description
Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserva 1863 is an elegant Barbadian rum produced in small batches from aged rums sourced from carefully selected barrels. The spirits, aged approximately 5 to 12 years, mature in American and French oak barrels, which impart a complex aroma, subtle sweetness, and a distinctly woody character to the rum.
The rum originates from Barbados and is associated with the Foursquare Distillery. It offers a medium-full body and a harmonious blend of molasses, caramel, cocoa, nuts, and vanilla. Thanks to its balanced profile, it is best enjoyed slowly, neat.

About Albert Michler Distillery:
Albert Michler is one of the oldest rum brands in the former Austro-Hungarian Empire. Its story began in 1863 in Buchsdorf, Silesia – now part of the Czech Republic – where founder Albert Michler established a distillery and rum distillery that soon became a supplier to the imperial court and the Austro-Hungarian navy.
Albert Michler was not only an experienced producer of liqueurs and rums, but also a visionary. His Original Buchsdorfer Magenbitter became famous not only for its taste, but also for its alleged healing properties. During the cholera epidemic of 1866, he set up an emergency hospital and used his herbal liqueurs as part of the treatment for infected soldiers.
After World War II, the original distillery was closed, but the brand did not disappear. Today, it continues its legacy under the name Albert Michler Distillery Int. Ltd. in the United Kingdom, with great respect for the traditions and legacy of its founder. Michler rums and liqueurs are now made from the finest ingredients sourced from Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, and the Dominican Republic, with quality, craftsmanship, and respect for history remaining key.
