Bruno Pilzer Grappa di Müller Thurgau is a single-varietal Italian grappa made from the pomace of the Müller Thurgau grape, sourced exclusively from vineyards in the Cembra Valley in the province of Trento. This region provides ideal climatic conditions for the variety, allowing the grapes to retain their delicate aromas, freshness, and elegant floral character.
Production:
The grape pomace arrives at the distillery lightly pressed and, after careful fermentation, is distilled quickly but with the utmost precision. The goal is to capture the variety’s delicate aroma and transfer it to the final distillate in the purest form possible. Before bottling, the grappa ages for at least one year in stainless steel tanks to soften its character and harmoniously round out its profile.
Tasting Profile:
Aroma: Poly-aromatic and complex, with notes of linden blossom, sage leaves, and honey. Elegant nuances of tobacco also emerge.
Taste: Delicate and elegant, with lingering notes of white flowers and a clean expression of the Müller Thurgau variety.
Finish: Long, floral, and harmonious.
Serving:
It is recommended to serve chilled, ideally at a temperature of around 16 °C. Store in a cool, dark place.
Bruno Pilzer Grappa di Müller Thurgau, thanks to its aromatic lightness and balanced character, is suitable as an after-dinner digestif as well as an interesting tasting sample for lovers of varietal grappas.
Ingredients: Distillate of grape pomace and water.
About the Pilzer Distillery:
Pilzer is an Italian family-owned distillery from Trentino, one of the most respected producers of grappa, fruit distillates, and other fine spirits. It was founded in 1957 in Faver, an ancient village in the heart of the Cembra Valley, a region known for its winemaking tradition, mountainous character, and high-quality ingredients.
The distillery’s current form is the work of brothers Bruno and Ivan Pilzer, who carry on the family craft and develop it with an emphasis on quality, purity, and precise craftsmanship. Pilzer specializes primarily in grappa—a traditional Italian spirit made from grape pomace—but also offers fruit distillates, liqueurs, and other specialties.
