Don Q Reserva de la Familia Serrallés is an exceptional limited edition created as a tribute to the Serrallés family and to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Serrallés distillery. This is an exceptional rum whose story began in 1994, when 36 heavily charred American white oak barrels were filled. After a long 20-year aging period, only the 6 best barrels were selected to create the final blend.
Tasting Profile:
Color: A dark golden amber hue, with a rich body.
Aroma: Vanilla, oak, sweet notes, a hint of charred wood, molasses, honey, and woody essences.
Taste: Honey notes, elegance and complexity, warm tannins, mahogany, figs, apricot.
Finish: Long, warm, with a mature woody-fruity aftertaste.
