Product description

Dictador Libreto Port 1999 is a true work of art in the world of aged rums – personally selected by Hernan Parra, the successor to the famous Parra family, which is behind many of Colombia's finest spirits. Each bottle is like an opera libretto, guiding you through a rich symphony of flavors, from delicate fruit notes to deep final accords of spice and wood.

Aging:

This edition is aged in American oak barrels, then matured in port wine barrels, which gives the rum smoothness, fullness, and extraordinary depth. Dictador Libreto Port 1999 is not just rum – it is a story in drops, a symphony of the senses intended for true lovers of exceptional spirits.

Tasting profile:

Aroma: Rich and elegant – blood orange, strawberries, walnuts in honey, complemented by smoked figs, dates and notes of black cherries.

Taste: Black cherries dominate, layered with subtle spices and finished with notes of flambéed orange peel.

Finish: Delicately bitter orange and black pepper add elegance and zest to the finish.

This limited collector's edition is ideal for connoisseurs and lovers of luxury rums, as a luxury gift or as a rare addition to a personal collection.

About the Dictador brand:

Dictador was born in Colombia, a country famous not only for its coffee but also for its ideal climate for aging rum. The result is a rum that appeals to collectors, lovers of rare editions, and connoisseurs of sophisticated flavors.

The Dictador brand draws inspiration from Sever Arangoya, nicknamed "El Dictador," a Spanish official who oversaw the rum trade in Cartagena de Indias, the commercial center of the Spanish colonial empire in the 18th century. It is after him that the brand is named, and it is here that the story of Dictador as a rum with authority began.

The modern era of Dictador began in 1913, when the family business of the same name was officially founded. Since then, Dictador rum has been produced with an emphasis on precision, craftsmanship, and long aging, now led by renowned master blender Hernan Parra, who is the third generation of the Parra rum family.
