Švejk Tuzemák is an authentic Czech spirit that has been enjoyed by generations. It is made from fine molasses spirit, sugar, and traditional aromas that give the drink its unmistakable character. It continues the long Czech tradition of domestic rums and has become an indispensable part of home bars, mountain huts, and restaurants.
Under the R. Jelínek brand, which is a guarantee of quality and historical continuity, Švejk Tuzemák is produced according to classic recipes using modern production technologies. The result is a harmonious, easy-to-drink spirit with a delicate sweetness that can be enjoyed on its own or in hot tea, punch, or traditional Czech desserts.
Serving suggestion:
Great in grog, punch, eggnog, or as an ingredient in cakes and strudels. Also suitable for making homemade liqueurs.
About RUDOLF JELÍNEK:
The RUDOLF JELÍNEK company continues a more than 400-year-long tradition of distilling spirits in Vizovice, the heart of the Wallachian region. The first mention of distilling comes from the Vizovice estate register from 1585, while the family's own history began in 1882, when Zikmund Jelínek took over the distillery. Since then, the name Jelínek has been inextricably linked with the highest quality fruit spirits.
In the interwar period, the Vizovice distillery R. Jelínek was one of the most successful companies of its kind. The brand established itself not only on the domestic market but also abroad, where it gained renown for its quality. After nationalization in 1948, production was maintained under state administration, thanks in part to the strong brand, which had an excellent reputation abroad.
A turning point came in 1998, when new shareholders led by Pavel Dvořáček joined the company. The company stabilized, modernized, and invested in development, including the construction of the unique Distillery Land, an experience trail for visitors that reveals the secrets of fruit distillation.
The company prides itself on its own orchards, which give it full control over the quality of its raw materials. In 2019, it cultivated 181 hectares of orchards, not only in the Czech Republic but also through foreign subsidiaries.
