Château Puy Mouton enjoys a quite outstanding situation on the south ridge of Saint - Emilion, on magnificent clay-and-limestone soils. Its magnesian subsoil is mainly made up of cold clay, which give the wine a great complexity and elegance typical of the great Saint-Emilion wines.
Taste: A sustained crimson colour. Very fresh and red berry aromas with hints of spices and a touch of oak. Elegant on the palate, lovely attack, good length and complexity. An extremely elegant, well-balanced wine. Ideally served with roasted meat and poultry, game cooked in sauce, pan-fried foie gras and calf sweetbreads, farmhouse cheeses, chocolate and red berry desserts. Aging potential more than 10 years
