Product description

Ron Patridom Gran Reserva (formerly Esclavo Gran Reserva) is a premium rum made from fresh sugar cane juice that is aged in the tropical climate of the Dominican Republic. This rum is aged for five years in American oak and French oak barrels. The rum is produced by the company Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos, which harvests its own sugar cane and ensures that the rum is made up of crops purely from the Dominican Republic. Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos is the largest producer of alcohol in the Dominican Republic and therefore the company plays an important role in the community, providing work for hundreds of local residents.

Aroma: Fresh apricots with a subtle tartness transitioning into brown sugar, milk chocolate and maple syrup.

Taste: pleasant sweetness with hints of fresh vanilla. Light body with subtle aromas of coffee and dark chocolate adding depth and complexity.

Patridom formerly Esclavo
New name, same taste. Esclavo is the Spanish name for slave. These rums were therefore a tribute to the slaves who historically paid a high (often the highest) price working in the sugar cane fields, and thanks to whom we can enjoy and taste these exceptional products today.Even Esclavo has fallen victim to a witch hunt in the name of supposedly fighting racism (all the owners of 1423 are originally from India...). Patridom is a compound word from the Spanish "patrimonio" and "dominicano", meaning Dominican heritage.
