Macallan A NIGHT ON EARTH Highland Single Malt whisky with an amber colour has been created exclusively for New Year's Eve, known in Scotland as "Hogmanay". It is produced in a variety of casks at the distillery to resemble the usual Scottish New Year's Eve treat.
This whisky is matured in a combination of American first-fill bourbon casks and European and American sherry casks.
The special edition whisky celebrates the special time of year with a vibrant and playful packaging design that reflects the joy and festive atmosphere, while the unique, multi-layered gift box features abstract designs by Erika Dorn, evoking the story of 'Hogmanay' with a rich red colour symbolising fire and good luck. Upon opening the box, you are greeted by colours reflecting the night sky and Scottish tradition, with the bottle set amongst amber tones reminiscent of Scottish shortbread, glowing like gold, referencing the richness of flavours contained within the whisky.
NOSE: Fruity, notes of vanilla, baked apples, prunes, roasted almonds.
TASTE: Smooth velvety sweetness reminiscent of sandwiches with a rich mouthfeel, vanilla with lightly toasted marshmallow, dried oranges, figs and cinnamon.
FINISH: Medium with sweet butterscotch and freshly baked biscuits
