Glenmorangie Calvados Cask Finish is the latest addition to the successful Barrel Select range Release. In his latest experiment, for the 5th release in the series, Dr Bill Lumsden has focused on Calvados and how its rich flavor profile, full of notes of apple orchard fruit can further enhance the classic fruity smoothness of Glenmorangie whisky.
He has used a whisky that has been matured for over 10 years in American white oak casks as a base to achieve the elegant Glenmorangie profile. He then moved it to casks for approximately 18 months, which he then used for 20 years. of Calvados du Pays d'Auge from Normandy.
