Product description

Glengoyne 10Y First Fill Highland is an exclusive whisky from the Spirit of Time Travel collection, which embodies the philosophy of the Glengoyne distillery – respect for time, patience, and traditional craftsmanship. And it is in this edition that you will find Glengoyne 10Y First Fill, an elegant Highland whisky that stands out for its sweet complexity and precise maturation.

Characteristics:

Glengoyne 10Y First Fill Highland is distilled in the slowest stills in Scotland, resulting in a smooth, rich and harmonious spirit. This 10-year-old edition was matured mainly in first-fill bourbon casks, which give it a honeyed sweetness, vanilla notes and creamy depth. The balance of sherry casks adds a delicate fruitiness and a hint of spice.

Tasting profile:

Nose: Delicate, fruity, with notes of caramel, vanilla and light citrus peel.

Taste: Smooth, sweet and rich – bourbon vanilla, yellow fruit, a touch of almonds.

Finish: Medium length, warming, with hints of oak and spice.

Glengoyne 10Y First Fill Highland comes in a stylish gift box, making it the ideal choice for discerning collectors and anyone who wants to enjoy a piece of Scottish craftsmanship in its purest form. It is not chill-filtered or colored – what you taste is the pure expression of time and tradition.

About the Glengoyne distillery:

At a time when the world is moving ever faster, the Glengoyne distillery is keeping to its own rhythm. Since 1833, it has been producing whisky with a single goal in mind – to give time the space to create something exceptional. Every drop of Glengoyne matures in the peace and quiet of a Scottish valley known in Gaelic as Glen Guin – the Valley of the Geese.

Glengoyne stands out from the rest not only for its approach, but also for its production technique. It uses the slowest distillation in Scotland, which gives the whisky its smoothness and sweet, fruity character. The barley is not dried with peat, but exclusively in the fresh air to bring out its natural flavor. And the barrels? They are made from European and American oak, which is prepared for up to six years before the maturation process even begins.

The history of the distillery is closely linked to the Connell family, who once produced illegal liqueurs in these hills. Today, Glengoyne is legal, but it still draws water from the same secret spring and honors the original principles—nothing rushed, nothing fake.
