History and production:
Black Velvet was originally known as "Black Label" starting in 1951, but was renamed after tasting by Jack Napier, who appreciated its velvety taste and smoothness. Made using crystal clear Canadian water and the finest ingredients, Black Velvet is distilled and aged in premium oak barrels. It uses a blend of high-quality grains, including rye, barley and corn, and is aged in bourbon barrels, contributing to its distinctive flavour.
