Characteristics:

Opthimus rums are created using a unique selection system applied annually by Oliver Master Blenders. The barrels are classified into three prestigious categories based on Latin academic awards: Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Summa Cum Laude.

Each year, several hundred barrels are assessed, from which only 50 to 100 of the best are selected to meet the strict parameters of the Opthimus collection. The extraordinary complexity of the rums is achieved through the harmonious combination of two types of barrels: French oak enriched with the essence of fine red wine and American white oak aged with bourbon.

Opthimus 21 Magna Cum Laude is made from rums that have matured for up to 21 years in the tropical environment of the Dominican Republic. It is made exclusively from the best 10% of barrels, selected through an individual selection process by Oliver's master blenders.

Aroma: An intense explosion of vanilla, burnt caramel, dark chocolate, and dried fruit, complemented by fresh citrus notes of lemon and banana.
