Opthimus rums are created based on a unique selection system that Oliver Master Blenders apply annually. The barrels are classified into three prestigious categories according to Latin academic awards: Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude.

Every year, several hundred barrels are assessed, from which only 50 to 100 of the best are selected, which meet the strict parameters of the Opthimus collection. The extraordinary complexity of the rums is achieved by the harmonious combination of two types of barrels: French oak enriched with the essence of high-quality red wine and white American oak after bourbon.

Opthimus 21 Magna Cum Laude is made from rums that have been aged for up to 21 years in the tropical environment of the Dominican Republic. It is made exclusively from the best 10% of barrels, selected through an individual selection process by Oliver's master blenders.

Aroma: An intense explosion of vanilla, burnt caramel, dark chocolate and dried fruit, complemented by fresh citrus notes of lemon and banana.
