Glenlivet 1961 50Y G&M is a limited edition exclusive whisky with a golden colour and a hint of mahogany that was distilled in 1961 and carefully matured in casks for 50 years.
This whisky belongs to the Rare Vintage edition of Gordon & MacPhail. The bottle is labelled in the style of those used by the distillery at the time this whisky was distilled. Each box contains a hand-signed certificate.
The Glenlivet is Pernod Ricard's Scottish distillery located in the village of Ballindalloch in Banffshire. The distillery was founded in 1824 by George Smith and produces pure malt whisky. This distillery was the first to be registered in 1824 by George Smith following the passing of the 1823 Tax Act. The distillery has been on the present site since 1858. Some of the production is used in blended whiskies.
The taste is sweet, fruity, honey and vanilla.
