Product description

Ballantine's Finest is a whisky with a long tradition that remains faithful to the original recipe from 1910. As the best-selling blended Scotch whisky in Europe and holder of the title "World's Best Blended Whisky 2020", it has won the hearts of whisky lovers around the world.

Tasting profile:

Color: Light gold.

Aroma: Delicate and elegant, with notes of heather honey and spices.

Taste: Perfectly balanced, sweet with hints of milk chocolate, red apple, and vanilla.

Finish: Fresh, floral aftertaste that lingers pleasantly.

Design:

The typical square Ballantine's bottle was created for practical reasons – during Prohibition, American merchants could easily hide it in a briefcase without worrying that it would roll around and make noise. Today, you don't have to hide it, but its unusual shape remains an icon of the brand.

This smooth and versatile whisky is ideal for both beginners and experienced Scotch lovers. It tastes great neat, on the rocks, or in whisky cocktails.

Ballantine's history:

Ballantine's, a Scottish whisky brand, was founded in 1827 by George Ballantine, originally a greengrocer. George opened his first grocery store in Edinburgh and gradually specialised in maturing quality, hand-selected malt whiskies. In 1857 he expanded his store to meet the growing demand for his products and in 1881 began exporting his blended whisky to world markets.

After his retirement, his sons took over the business. Ballantine's was awarded a Quality Recognition from Queen Victoria in 1895, a significant milestone, and over the years the company continued to innovate, including the launch of Ballantine's Finest in 1910 and the development of the iconic square bottle during Prohibition for easier concealment.

In 1937, master blender George Robertson joined the team to create the world's first 17-year-old Scotch whisky and the prestigious Ballantine's 30. The company acquired a heraldic emblem in 1938, which includes the Latin phrase "Amicus Humani Generis" (Friend of all mankind).

Ballantine's continues to celebrate its history and continues to innovate, as evidenced by its 2014 partnership with the Boiler Room Music Project to promote real music and whiskey.
