Centenario 1985 Second Batch is a special Costa Rican edition that pays homage to the year 1985, when the first bottle of Ron Centenario rum was introduced. It is crafted as a blend of light and heavier rums, which are aged traditionally in carefully selected American white oak barrels previously used for Scotch whiskey.

Aging:

For this edition, barrels associated with the Lowlands region of Scotland were selected. Aging takes place in Costa Rica, surrounded by forests, rivers, and volcanoes, at an elevation of approximately 1,208 meters. The local climate and humidity, together with the character of the barrels used, contribute to the resulting aromatic profile.

Nose: Subtle notes of roasted coffee, vanilla, wood, and dried fruit.

Palate: Distinctly creamy, with roasted coffee and dried fruit.

Finish: Vanilla and oak.
