Product description

Damoiseau Rum VSOP is a matured agricole rum from Guadeloupe, produced using traditional methods from fresh sugarcane juice. The V.S.O.P. (Very Special Old Pale) designation indicates a rum aged for at least four years in small oak barrels with a capacity of approximately 180 liters.

Extended aging in oak helps develop a richer, rounder, and more complex character without causing the rum to lose the typical freshness of the agricole style. The result is a harmonious blend of aged rums that perfectly captures the character of Guadeloupe and Damoiseau’s traditional production methods.

Tasting Profile:

Aroma: Intense, with notes of roasted fruit, citrus, and spices.

Taste: Lively, balanced, and spicy, with a subtle hint of mint.

The aroma of Damoiseau Rum VSOP is distinctive and intense. Notes of roasted fruit, citrus, and spices emerge. The taste is lively, balanced, and spicy, with a subtle hint of mint in the background. The rounded texture lends the rum a pleasant smoothness and seamlessly blends fresh and more mature notes.

Recommended serving:

Damoiseau Rum VSOP is best enjoyed neat at room temperature, or with a few drops of water or a large ice cube. Thanks to its intense character, it’s also well-suited for premium rum cocktails.

About the Damoiseau Brand:

The history of the family-owned Damoiseau brand is linked to the Bellevue estate in Guadeloupe, which was purchased by Roger Damoiseau Sr. in 1942. Production gradually shifted to focus primarily on rhum agricole, and subsequent generations continued to develop the family business.

Damoiseau operates on the island of Grande Terre, where the warm microclimate and soil naturally rich in calcium create ideal conditions for growing sugarcane. The brand focuses on agricole rums made from fresh sugarcane juice, as well as rum liqueurs and macerated specialties infused with fruit and spices.
