Naud 15Y Panama Rum is a matured Extra Old rum created by combining Panamanian rum craftsmanship with the Charente tradition of France. This exceptional rum is the result of a collaboration among master distillers brought together by Pierre Naud through their shared passion for the art of distillation. As a result, it offers a harmony of tropical richness and elegant smoothness that continues to develop during aging in France.
Production:
The base is sugarcane grown on Panama’s Azuero Peninsula, where it matures under ideal tropical conditions. Distillation takes place traditionally in 20-tray copper columns, producing a rich and fruity distillate. After a long aging period in American oak barrels in Panama, the rum crosses the Atlantic and gains further finesse and smoothness in the cool cognac cellars of the Charente region.
Tasting Profile:
Color: Deep mahogany.
Aroma: Coconut, tonka beans, vanilla sugar, with an intensity reminiscent of the typical characteristics of sugarcane.
Taste: Full-bodied and distinctive, with notes of sweet pastries, licorice, and cinnamon, complemented by hints of wood and smoke from bourbon barrels.
Naud 15Y Panama Rum will appeal to lovers of aged rums with a full body, rich aromas, and an elegantly spicy character. It is ideal for slow sipping on its own or as the base for stylish rum cocktails.
Serving Suggestion – Old Ron Fashioned:
Place a sugar cube, a splash of sparkling water, and a few drops of bitters into a glass. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Add 60 ml of Naud 15Y Panama Rum, top with ice, stir again, and garnish with orange zest.
About Naud:
Naud is a family-owned French distillery based in Pons, in the Charente-Maritime region, carrying on a tradition of spirits production dating back more than a century. Its story is linked to the name Emile Perrier and the legacy of five generations of distillers who developed the family craft at a discreetly hidden distillery on the island of Pinthiers.
The Naud brand is known for combining the traditional French art of distillation with a modern and bolder approach to spirit production. In addition to cognacs and other classic spirits, it offers uniquely conceived products that blend history, family know-how, and an emphasis on the character of the raw ingredients and the resulting flavors.
