This bourbon is named after the American Prairie Reserve, an organization that is working hard to create the largest wildlife preserve in the lower 48 states, larger than, say, Yellowstone or Yosemite. 10% of the sales of this bourbon goes to help this organization. High West American Prairie is a carefully crafted blend of straight bourbons aged from 2 to 13 years in newly fired American white oak barrels. The color of bourbon is reminiscent of noble straw wine. The aroma is of first-class bourbon. Notes of sweet vanilla and soft caramel are in harmony with the overall spicy aroma and caramelized apples in the finish. The taste is rich, earthy and complex.
