Product description

Dom Pérignon is the only champagne brand that only produces vintage wines. Each vintage is unique and distinctly different from the others. It expresses both the character of the year in which it was created and the philosophy of the Dom Pérignon house. The wines come exclusively from 17 Grand Cru vineyards and are aged for 9 years in cellars. Given how fickle the weather is in the Champagne region, committing to vintage wines is a real challenge. It happens that in some years the wine is not made because the cellar master does not find it satisfactory. However, this challenge represents the essence of the creative process of the House of Dom Pérignon.
Dom Pérignon Vintage 2012 was created in a year when the weather was unpredictable and full of paradoxes. The production of the wine was preceded by many obstacles, and this is also reflected in its character. This vintage reveals exceptional structure, controlled energy and a balanced combination of acidity and bitterness.
Varietal: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
Alcohol content: 12.5%
Nose: full and varied, floral notes intermingle with fruit, vegetal notes with minerals. White flowers and juicy apricots emerge, followed by the freshness of rhubarb and mint, the minerality of ash and pepper.
Palate: very energetic, lively and bursting with flavor, the finish mainly shows sour and bitter notes, with bitterness of ginger, tobacco and roasted notes.
Recommended serving temperature: 10-12°C in a large wine glass.
