This rum is a blend of rums aged between 6 and 24 years in charred American whiskey barrels, with mysteriously smoky and rich flavour notes.
El Alma follows the first bottle of La Doma from the four-strong collection.
Each release in the Heavenly Cask collection celebrates a specific type of cask that was used to age Zacapa 23. The casks for La Doma rum were charred by exposure to flames that reached deep into the interior of the cask to give the resulting rum the characteristics of wood and the essence of nature. This gives the rum its unique deep smoky notes.
