Product description

The mountainous region of Oaxaca, home to Mexico's indigenous people. Altitude 1-2 thousand m above sea level. Traditional cultivation of sugar cane, coffee and fruit. And rum, which is produced by natural fermentation from organically grown sugarcane. Paranubes, locally known as aguardiente de caña, is a rum sourced from unspoiled nature.
Paranubes Caña Morada is a varietal rum, i.e. a distillate made from a single variety of sugar cane. The rum is produced in the mountain village of Río Tuero in the Sierra Mazateca mountains in northern Oaxaca. Producer José Luís Carrera uses four different types of sugar cane to produce the classic Paranubes rum: Criolla, Duro, Morada and Dulce. This time, however, he decided to create a one-of-a-kind distillate, from the Morada variety. Paranubes Caña Morada is thus 100% rum from one type of cane.

Approximately 240 bottles from this batch will be available on our market.

Flavor Profile:
Usually used in blends, this variety gives the rum a lighter body and a drier profile. The rum impresses with cinnamon notes that give the impression that you have a cinnamon candy in your mouth.
