Becherovka is one of the oldest liqueurs in the world. For more than 200 years, it has been produced according to a secret recipe that ensures its typical bittersweet taste and golden color. It is a 100% natural product without chemical preservatives, artificial colors or emulsifiers.
The history of Becherovka dates back to 1807, when the merchant Josef Vitus Becher (1769-1840) started selling Becherovka in the shop U Tří skřivanů under the name English Becher Bitter as stomach drops. Becherovka was already exported in the middle of the 19th century and was one of the most successful export items during the Czechoslovakia. Currently, it is exported to more than 40 countries around the world.
Unfiltered Becherovka is a premium herbal liqueur that is part of the iconic Becherovka family. It is a unique product without chemical preservatives, dyes or other artificial substances and emulsifiers. Made from pure Karlovy Vary waters, high-quality alcohol and a mixture of herbs and spices. It has a natural and rich taste, which makes it perfect both alone and in your favorite drink. The alcohol content is 38%. Becherovka stands out with its iconic shape since 1866, which still works today. In 2016, Becherovka won a gold medal at the World Spirits Competition in San Francisco.
Becherovka is a great aperitif and medicinal digestif that tastes best ice cold, ideally at -2 to -6°C. Use it as part of many refreshing cocktails, the most famous of which is the so-called "Beton". In 2017, it received the official designation "Czech National Cocktail" according to a nationwide vote of the International Bartender Association IBA. Alcohol content 38%.
Taste: The mellow flavor of the herbal blend with a hint of sweetness makes for a perfect and invigorating aperitif.
