Becherovka Unfiltered is a bolder and wilder interpretation of the traditional recipe from 1807. This liqueur rebels against the established rules—the filtration stage has been omitted so that the herbs can fully express their natural aroma and flavor. The result is a richer, more distinctive and complex profile that will be appreciated by every lover of original herbal liqueurs. The drink is produced in small batches, labeled as "small batch," which underscores its premium character.
Tasting profile:
Color: A cloudy yellow hue reminiscent of patinated gold – a characteristic feature of unfiltered processing.
Aroma: A seductive aroma of exotic spices, cloves, cinnamon, and orange peel. The aroma is full, warm, and naturally herbal.
Taste: A richly intense bittersweet combination with a natural herbal character. Slightly wilder than classic Becherovka, with beautifully developed spice tones.
Finish: A delicately sweet aftertaste with distinctive spices and a long, warming finish.

The history of Becherovka:
Becherovka is an iconic Czech herbal liqueur and one of the oldest alcohol brands in the history of the Czech Republic, with continuous production since 1807. This world-famous liqueur is produced in Karlovy Vary, where a secret recipe known only to two people is still followed, adding to its mystique and character.
Josef Vitus Becher, founder of Becherovka, acquired the original recipe from Dr. Frobrig in 1805 and refined it to perfection. The recipe contains a blend of approximately twenty herbs and spices, sourced from both exotic destinations and the Karlovy Vary region.
Johann Nepomuk Becher, known as Honza, took over the colonial trade and liqueur production from his father Josef. Johann is considered the founder of the company in the true sense of the word, as he developed production for almost 40 years. His signature is still on every bottle of Becherovka today.
In 1866, Honza Becher's brother-in-law, Karel Laube, came up with a revolutionary design for a flat bottle, which has been made from the typical green glass since 1907. In 1867, production was moved to a new factory in Steinberky, which provided a direct train connection to the rest of the world. Today, the visitor center The Home of Becherovka stands on this site.
In 1871, Gustav Becher took over the family business, successfully promoting and legally protecting the liqueur. A native of Karlovy Vary, Gustav linked Becherovka with the traditional Karlovy Vary craft of porcelain and introduced the iconic porcelain cups for the liqueur.
