Bruno Pilzer Amaro is an Italian herbal bitter liqueur produced by macerating a carefully selected blend of herbs and spices. Its character is based on a combination of two historic recipes from the late 19th century—one with a more pronounced digestive profile and the other with a milder, smoother character. The result is a fresh, balsamic, and subtly bitter liqueur with a long finish.

Production:

Approximately 30 herbs, or rather a blend of herbs and spices, are used in production; these are steeped in alcohol for a precisely defined period of time. Each recipe is macerated separately to extract the essence from the individual ingredients. Only after a short maturation period are the two parts combined to create the final Amaro Bruno.

Tasting Profile:

Color: Naturally bright amber.

Aroma: Fresh, captivating, and balsamic, with pleasant floral notes.

Taste: Fresh, gently bitter, and herbal, with a balanced expression of macerated herbs and spices.

Finish: Pleasantly long, refreshing, and herbally bitter.

Bruno Pilzer Amaro captivates with its naturally bright amber color, fresh balsamic aroma, and slightly bitter taste. It does not feel heavy, but rather pleasantly refreshes and leaves a long herbal finish.

Serving:

Thanks to its character, it is best enjoyed on its own, preferably chilled to around 16 °C. You can serve it neat, with an ice cube, or as part of simple mixed drinks, where its herbal bitterness and aromatic depth shine through. It is particularly suitable as a digestif after a meal.

About the Pilzer Distillery:

Pilzer is an Italian family-owned distillery from Trentino, one of the most respected producers of grappa, fruit distillates, and other fine spirits. It was founded in 1957 in Faver, an ancient village in the heart of the Cembra Valley, a region known for its winemaking tradition, mountainous character, and high-quality ingredients.

The distillery’s current form is the work of brothers Bruno and Ivan Pilzer, who carry on the family craft and develop it with an emphasis on quality, purity, and precise craftsmanship. Pilzer specializes primarily in grappa—a traditional Italian spirit made from grape pomace—but also offers fruit distillates, liqueurs, and other specialties.
