Radlík Plum oak barell is an aged version of traditional Czech slivovice that combines the pure, fruity character of plum brandy with the smoothness and depth imparted by aging in oak barrels. It is the latest addition to the family of aged spirits from the Radlík Distillery and also an interesting take on one of the country’s most famous national spirits.

Tasting Profile:

Nose: A delicate plum aroma with a hint of vanilla and a distinct oak influence.

Palate: Smooth, fruity, and mature. Alongside the plum base, notes of wood and chocolate are prominently present.

Finish: Full-bodied, long, and persistent, with a cocoa aftertaste.

Barrel aging softens the spirit and adds further layers of flavor, yet it is important to preserve the original fruity character of the slivovitz. In this case, we have succeeded in creating a spirit in which the delicate plum aroma naturally blends with a hint of vanilla and more pronounced notes of chocolate. It is precisely these chocolate and cocoa notes that give this slivovitz its unusual depth and elegant finish.

Awards:

Radlík Plum oak barell won a gold medal at the Czech National Spirits Competition back in 2021. It also confirmed its success abroad at the Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, where it won another gold medal in competition with samples from 55 countries. In 2025, it reaffirmed its quality with a gold medal at CNSC Prague.
