Renowned master distiller Francisco Fernández, known as "Don Pancho", is behind the production of Heffron Coconut. With over 50 years of experience in rum distillation, Don Pancho brings his art from Cuba to Panama where Heffron Coconut is made.
Heffron Coconut production process begins with the selection of the finest sugar cane for molasses production, which is then fermented and distilled using continuous distillation in a huge column still. This approach ensures purity and preservation of the subtle flavours that are characteristic of Heffron rum.
Aged for five to eight years, this rum is first matured in American oak barrels, then undergoes a maturation phase in the Caribbean climate, which adds Heffron Coconut's subtle notes of vanilla and caramel with a nice touch of woody nuances.
