R.Jelínek Vizovická slivovice STANLEY 2020 is an excellent slivovice that brings a unique taste experience, thanks to its maturation in a stainless steel tank and subsequent maturation for eight months in an oak barrel, originally from the Travellers distillery in Belize. This American white oak cask imparts subtle vanilla nuances and a characteristic dry woody finish to the plum brandy without losing its typical sweetness and fruitiness.
STANLEY plum variety, with its blue-purple fruits reaching maturity around 10 September and a sugar content of around 23 brix, has become a permanent fixture in R. Jelinek's orchards. Its juicy, greenish-yellow flesh with the scent of blossom honey makes it ideal for making traditional plum brandy, but also for drying or for making preserves.
In 2003, the orchard tradition was restored by planting its own plum orchards on the southern slopes of the Vizovice valley in the Těchlov area and in 2008 the first harvest of Vizovice plums took place, ushering in a new era in the production of slivovitz.
Each year, one exceptional spirit is selected together with members of the Friends of Jelinek Slivovitz Society and bottled as the annual, limited edition Vizovice Slivovitz R. JELÍNEK. This careful selection ensures that each bottle is a true legacy of craftsmanship and passion.
