Product description

Albert Michler Overproof White Rum is a bold white rum with a high alcohol content that impresses with its strength, character, and versatility in mixed drinks. This rum comes from Jamaica and Trinidad and is produced using traditional methods, with a brief aging period in small white oak barrels. It is precisely this brief aging that contributes to its smoothness and gives it a distinctive flavor and aroma profile.

Tasting Profile:

Color: Clear.

Aroma: Fruity notes of molasses and spices.

Taste: Fruity and slightly spicy.

Finish: Long and spicy.

Although this is an overproof rum with an alcohol content of 63%, its character is not defined solely by its strength. Both its taste and aroma offer fruity notes of molasses and spices, creating a full-bodied, distinctive, and yet clearly defined character. This makes it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a white rum with greater intensity that holds its own not only in classic cocktails but also in more complex tiki and Caribbean recipes.

Serving:

Albert Michler Overproof White Rum is perfect for drinks like the Mai Tai, Daiquiri, or Piña Colada, where its strength and aromatics really shine. It will be appreciated by bartenders and home mixologists alike who want to give their cocktails a more distinctive rum base.

About the Albert Michler brand:

The history of the Albert Michler brand dates back to 1863, when Albert Michler founded a factory for liqueurs, rums, and other spirits in Buchsdorf, in what was then Austrian Silesia. It became famous primarily for its herbal liqueur, Original Buchsdorfer Magenbitter, and later also for its selection and blending of overseas rums.

The original company became a supplier to the imperial and royal court as well as the Austro-Hungarian Navy. However, its operations were brought to an end by the consequences of World War II and the subsequent political changes in Central Europe.

The current company, Albert Michler Distillery Int. Ltd., operates in the United Kingdom and carries on the historic Silesian brand with respect for its legacy. It focuses primarily on rums from Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Dominican Republic, in addition to which it also offers gin, absinthe, and other spirits.
