Product description

Planteray Black Cask 2024 is a special 10th anniversary edition of an award-winning rum that combines rums from Barbados and Paraguay in an elegant and complex blend. This limited edition blend of pot still and column still rums, made from molasses and cane honey, has undergone double maturation, giving it a rich and delicately smoky character.

Production:

After the first phase of maturation in white oak barrels in the countries of origin (Barbados – Stade's West Indies Distillery, Paraguay – Fortin), the rum was transported to southwestern France, where it matured in heavily charred Ferrand cognac barrels. It is this step that gives it the subtle smoky and woody notes typical of the Black Cask range.

Tasting profile:

Aroma: Tropical fruit, caramel, vanilla, coconut, hazelnuts, spices, cocoa, gingerbread.

Taste: Round, fruity, with hints of sweet molasses and candied raspberries.

Finish: Long and rich – sweet coffee, coconut, raisins, plums, cinnamon, nutmeg.

Planteray Black Cask 2024 is a perfectly balanced and easy-to-drink rum – suitable for slow sipping or as an exceptional gift.
