This amazing reserve was matured for several months in the barrels of selected port wine. It is the maturation in the port wine barrels that gives to the resulting rum a beautiful color of dark gold with an amber reflections. The aroma is rich with very noticeable tones of port wine. These harmoniously complement the typical tones of sugar cane, nuts, oak wood and vanilla. At the end appear the spicy tones of exotic cinnamon. The taste is warm and very pleasant. The delicate fruity sweetness is wonderfully complemented by the strength of 43 % alcohol. Double maturation with the touch of sweet fortified wine is always a sure bet. This is evidenced by the art of rum masters of Oliver & Oliver from the Dominican Republic.
