Production:

The whisky is crafted in the shadow of Ben Lomond, and the distillery uses a combination of its own unique Straight Neck stills and more traditional Swan Neck stills. This allows Loch Lomond to maintain its distinctive style, characterized by fruitiness, smoothness, and a slightly smoky finish.

Maturation:

Loch Lomond 12Y Single Malt is matured in three types of American oak casks—bourbon, refill, and re-charred. This combination helps create a balanced character with fruity freshness, vanilla sweetness, and a delicate oak structure.

The whisky is bottled at 40% ABV and is not chill-filtered to preserve its natural flavor. The final blend was created by master blender Michael Henry, whose signature on the bottle serves as a personal guarantee of quality.

Loch Lomond Distillery is a distillery whose story is as impressive as the beautiful landscape of Loch Lomond. The first mentions of a distillery on the shores of this picturesque lake date back to 1814, near Tarbet at the northern end of the lake; however, the exact date of the original distillery’s closure has been lost to history, leaving behind only a small number of records.

The current Loch Lomond Distillery, founded in 1965 thanks to the initiative of the former owners of the Littlemill Distillery in Bowling, a few miles from Glasgow, continues the tradition of Scotch whisky production with boundless passion and innovation.
