Vínovice was refined by lying in oak barrels. We consider this blend of different vintages to be the peak of the author's production so far. A delicate spicy aroma and a full fruity middle develop smoothly into a long chocolate finish with light tannins.
The expert jury of the Pálenka fest evaluated Vínovice as the Pálenka of the Year. Both wines (clear and oak barrel aged) are among the most appreciated products.
As distiller Kamil Kutina says in an interview:
"Oak Wine is our flagship, our most complex spirit to produce. First of all, we need to choose the grape variety well. The next step is controlled fermentation, during which we regulate the temperature in the vinifiers by computer, after which the wine must be well distilled, matured in barrels and finally blended. It is de facto a cognac, but we are not allowed to call it that, as it is a protected brand. We have been experimenting with cask spirits for 20 years. I admire French cognacs and would like to get as close to them as possible,"
