Jameson Black Barrel is a premium Irish whiskey that pays homage to the traditional craft of cooperage, which specialises in firing casks. This method not only rejuvenates the casks, but also intensifies the flavour of the stored whiskey. Maturation in a unique combination of American oak, sherry and bourbon casks gives this whiskey a complex flavour profile with notes of fruit, caramel and burnt wood. Production:  
Produced only once each year at the Jameson distillery in Midleton, Jameson Black Barrel is created using a unique method. The base is a sweet, triple-distilled grain whiskey made from pure barley and aged in double-fired bourbon barrels. To this base, a significant proportion of traditional Irish single pot still whiskey is added, resulting in an extremely complex and exceptional blend.

History: 
Founded in 1780 by John Jameson, the Jameson brand continues to produce whiskey according to his original methods, ensuring consistent quality and perfect balance more than 240 years later. The move of production in 1975 from Dublin to a modern facility in Midleton, Cork, has enabled Jameson to remain the best-selling Irish whiskey in the world.
