About Blanton’s:
Blanton’s is a premium American bourbon brand closely associated with the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky. The brand is named after Colonel Albert B. Blanton, a prominent figure in the distillery’s history who served as its president until 1952. Blanton was known for selecting exceptional barrels from the legendary Warehouse H for distinguished guests.
The modern Blanton’s brand was established in 1984, when master distiller Elmer T. Lee created a bourbon bottled exclusively from a single specific barrel in honor of Albert B. Blanton. In doing so, he introduced the first modern single barrel bourbon to the market and helped establish the super-premium bourbon category.
Blanton’s is known for the fact that each bottle comes from a single selected barrel, giving each bottling a slightly different character. A signature feature of the brand is the round bottle and the collectible cap featuring a horseman, which references Kentucky’s horse racing tradition.
