About the Perpetual Collection:
The unique Solera Vat Process involves removing only a portion of the whisky before each refill, while the remainder of the original liquid remains in the cask. Each subsequent filling thus builds upon the previous one, giving the whisky greater character, complexity, and depth.
The Perpetual Collection is based on the idea of a whisky that is constantly in motion. It matures in casks that are never completely emptied. Thanks to this method, layers of flavor from previous fillings are carried over into each subsequent batch, giving the whisky greater depth, dimension, and complexity. In the case of Vat 01, American and European oak casks are combined with red wine casks, which lend the whisky a delicate sweetness, spiciness, and elegant structure.
