Kilchoman 100% Islay 11th Edition is an exceptional and limited edition single malt Scotch whisky, sourced directly from the island of Islay. This whisky was distilled from barley harvested in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and matured for a minimum of 9 years in 26 bourbon barrels and 7 oloroso sherry casks.
Kilchoman 100% Islay 11th Edition reflects the unique character of the farm distillery that Kilchoman represents. It is the only single malt Scotch whisky on Islay that is produced entirely from barley to bottle on one site. The whisky stands out for its full body and rich fruit notes, with distinct accents of fresh currants and stone fruit, thanks to the choice malts from the Clynelish and Teaninich distilleries.
Production philosophy:
Kilchoman emphasises the preservation of the traditional farmhouse method of whisky production, which includes malting, distillation, maturation and bottling at the distillery. Kilchoman Distillery is a family-run business, established in 2005 and now run by the Wills family. The distillery is located on a farm where the barley that is key to the production of this whisky is grown.
