GRIČ sour cherry is an exclusive premium cherry spirit from the GRIČ Distillery. Characterised by the unmistakable aroma of fully ripe sour cherries and a subtle hint of bitter almonds, this spirit is the result of masterful art and careful craftsmanship.

The distillate is created by gentle distillation, which guarantees the preservation of the authentic cherry aroma. Subsequent maturation for six months in stainless steel tanks allows the complex flavour and aroma profiles to fully develop, resulting in a high quality, elegant product.

This exceptional spirit was awarded a gold medal at the Frankfurt Trophy, a testament to its outstanding quality and unique character.

Colour: Clear with light golden highlights indicating ageing.

Nose: Intense cherry with undertones of bitter almonds.

Flavour: Rich and full-bodied, with a balanced sweetness and acidity that develops into a lingering, fresh finish.

The optimum temperature for serving this spirit is 16-18 °C. At temperatures below about 7 °C, the spirit may become slightly cloudy due to the precipitation of aromatic oils, which is a natural phenomenon that does not affect the quality.

Grič distillery works with two hand-wrought, all-wrought, all-copper, single-boiler sets with a three-volume distillation column of 300 and 200 litres. These units allow the natural characteristics of the raw materials to be preserved and exploited to the maximum.

Grič distillery offers proven classics such as varietal plum and mead, as well as the latest gin, which is prepared with careful attention to the correct proportions and measurements to ensure a harmonious result. Each batch is produced in small, limited quantities to ensure the maximum quality of Grich spirits.
