The blackcurrants for this GRIČ currants are ripened directly on the tassels for maximum intensity of flavour and aroma. Careful harvesting ensures that only the finest fruit goes into fermentation. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures, which allows all the subtle nuances of the blackcurrant to be preserved. Slow distillation using the traditional method then brings out these flavours and aromas perfectly.

Aroma: The authentic and intense aroma of blackcurrant, which perfectly reproduces the notes of fresh fruit.

Flavour: On the palate, the spirit presents a smooth, lingering and round finish, with slightly tart and acidic notes of blackcurrant bringing a rich and full flavour experience.

The recommended temperature for serving and storage is 16-18 °C. At temperatures below about 7 °C, the spirit may become slightly cloudy due to the precipitation of aromatic oils, which is a natural phenomenon that does not affect the quality of the spirit.

Grič distillery works with two hand-wrought, all-wrought, all-copper, single-boiler sets with a three-volume distillation column of 300 and 200 litres. These units allow the natural characteristics of the raw materials to be preserved and exploited to the maximum.

Grič distillery offers proven classics such as varietal plum and mead, as well as the latest gin, which is prepared with careful attention to the correct proportions and measurements to ensure a harmonious result. Each batch is produced in small, limited quantities to ensure the maximum quality of Grich spirits.
