Glenmorangie A Tale of Ice Cream is the latest limited edition whisky in the award-winning 'A Tale Of...' series, delivering a sweet, indulgent and wonderfully creamy flavour inspired by the delights of ice cream. This whisky is the result of the imagination and innovative approach of the Glenmorangie team, who have sought to capture the rich flavours typical of ice cream parlours.
Exceptional production process:
Dr Bill Lumsden, Director of Whisky Creation, together with Master Blender Gillian Macdonald, have created this unique whisky which is matured in specially toasted oak casks. This innovative method highlights the vanilla characteristics of the spirit and adds notes of ripe peach, vanilla and coconut.
Tasting Profile:
Colour: Bronze.
Nose: A complex blend of manuka honey, butterscotch with lemon, baked raisin bread, candied orange peel, peaches, caramel and a touch of spice. The addition of water releases notes of vanilla crème anglaise, coconut and almond marzipan.
Taste: Thick, rich and creamy texture with sweet and spicy nuances of brioche, almond marzipan, honeycomb, fondant, lemon sorbet and dried coconut.
Finish: Lingering aftertaste with notes of caramel apple, sweet popcorn and aniseed.
History and tradition:
Founded in 1843 in the Scottish Highlands, Glenmorangie has become one of the most famous Scotch whisky distilleries in the world. Today, the distillery is run by Edward Thom, who was named Global Distillery Manager of the Year in 2022.
Glenmorangie believes in protecting our planet and its inhabitants, which is reflected in their partnership with the Giraffe Conservation Foundation and the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland to protect giraffes.
