The third and final installment in the Anthology series of three exceptional and rare whiskies that explore unusual flavor contrasts.
The Beithir's Tale presents a surprising experiment—combining Ardbeg's iconic smoke with softer, sweeter notes. The result? A stunning balance never before experienced at Ardbeg.
This 15-year-old limited edition with an alcohol content of 46% was matured in premium, deeply charred bourbon casks - known as "Designer Char".
COLOR: Light straw
AROMA: Intense, oily and spicy. Rich notes of molasses intertwine with creosote and herbal smoke. Gradually, aromas of baked apples and raisins develop, hinting at a sweeter core. When water is added, eucalyptus and menthol emerge, followed by fennel and pine notes.
TASTE: Amazingly balanced and complex. A sparkling start in the mouth spreads into peat smoke, coffee grounds, and dark currants. Lemon balm and smoked mandarins appear in the finish, transitioning into a spicy, distinctly smoky finish.
FINISH: Long and intricate like the tail of a mythical snake – with subtle hints of vanilla and smoked butter.
