SKUNK is a brand of Danish sustainably produced rum. Four different rums were created within the brand, but they are united by inspiration from Jamaica and local rum production processes. Each of the rums has unique characteristics. The SKUNK Rum family consists of experimental SKUNK Rum, where each batch will be different with respect to the use of different types of fermentation and distillation methods. The second rum is Spotted SKUNK Rum, whose production process and resulting taste will remain unchanged. Both rums will be complemented by Striped SKUNK Rum and Hooded SKUNK Rum, a blend of the previous two rums, which will then mature in oak barrels. All rums are bottled with an alcohol volume of 69.3%. Spotted SKUNK Rum is made from organic Paraguayan molasses with the help of high-ester yeast. The purpose of this unique, specially formulated yeast is to create a large amount of esters in the rum and give it an extra fruity taste and aroma. Flavor Profile: The rum impresses with its rich fruity aroma and taste of black currant, flambéed pineapple, ripe bananas and tropical fruit. According to the manufacturer, it goes well with tiki cocktails.
