Bowmore 27Y Timeless Series is an exceptional single malt whisky from the island of Islay, marking the first release in the prestigious Timeless Series collection. This series is dedicated to time as a key element in the maturation of whisky and demonstrates how extended aging can shape the depth, structure, and complexity of the final spirit.
Maturation:
The whisky was first matured for 15 years in sherry and bourbon casks and then for another 12 years in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. It was bottled at cask strength 52.7%, and only 3,000 bottles were produced.
Gift packaging:
The whiskey is presented in an elegant black gift box, which also includes a small hourglass—a symbol of time, which is the central theme of the entire edition.
Tasting profile:
Color: Amber to copper.
Nose: Sweet and rich, with notes of stewed plums, plum jam, raisins, sultanas, caramel, licorice, coffee, honey, beeswax, and a hint of smoke.
Taste: Full-bodied and complex, with notes of chestnut honey, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, leather, tobacco, dried fruit, and subtle peat.
Finish: Long, dry, and elegantly smoky, with a lingering note of charred wood and dried fruit.
Bowmore 27Y Timeless Series is a luxurious limited-edition whisky for collectors and connoisseurs. It offers long maturation, cask strength, a deep sherry profile, and the typical gentle smokiness of the Isle of Islay.
