Thanks to its mildness and fresh summer aroma, apricot brandy is a very popular noble spirit, suitable for all seasons. With its unconcealed strength, it pleases not only gentlemen, but is also a very pleasant drink for ladies who appreciate the fruity, full flavour and aroma of this drink. Apricot is truly a drink for everyone and is an excellent digestif after a good meal or just with friends.
Only well-ripened, sweet, aromatic apricots, mainly from the Velké Pavlovice region, are used for its production.
The production process is very similar to that of slivovitz and other fruit spirits. The fruit is selected with the utmost care and then sensitively ground into a mash, known as 'mash'. This fills the fermentation vats and the apricot ferment starts to convert the sugars in the apricots into the desired alcohol. After this transformation, a delicious spirit is distilled, which is left to harmonise and then bottled.
Store and consume apricot brandy ideally between 10 and 15°C to achieve maximum flavour and aroma of the brandy, at lower temperatures, you will block the aromatic experience and this would be a great pity when tasting this brandy.
